Who we are

We never really like defining who we are because we are made up of so many pieces, parts, and passions that it generally becomes a jumbled mess. But, we want you to know how we think and what we think is important, so we will give it a go.

The short list

We are young, thoughtful, playful, inspired, creative, socially responsible, driven, adventurous, and caring. Most importantly, we are parents; parents who are continually striving to be better parents, and people. Though we still laugh to think that we are parents, we really believe this will be the most important and lasting thing we will do.

We approach life and parenting in what could be called a more progressive way, but for us, it is the best way we see to be happy and raise a happy, healthy, intelligent, little person. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and try not to let ‘the moment’ escape us as we plan for the future.

The details

Angela is 25 and balances the demands of higher education, Xavier (our little person), and starting her own business. She is a very creative person with a passion for ideas. She has a strong interest in sustainability and social inequality issues.

Adam is 27 and has always had big dreams. He is an interesting mix: 1 part an intelligent professional, 1 part giant kid. He loves spending time with Xavier and finds ways to take her most places with him. He is fairly restless and likes to learn, travel, and compete. Professionally, he is a few years into his career post grad school.

They both are sleep deprived.

Xavier is a few months shy of 2. She is, in our biased opinion, the greatest little kid ever. And, yes we understand there are approximately 20 million greatest kids ever and that’s alright. Xavier is an inquisitive, super active, and becoming more opinionated little girl. She is light hearted and expressive, with big smiles and contagious.
